Testing for COVID-19, flu, RSV, and strep now available at Public Health Clinic

Mesa County Public Health Clinic is excited to offer new testing options for the community.

“Respiratory virus season is quickly approaching. We’re offering this new service so people can know what illness they have in order to better protect our community as a whole,” said Ali Sanchez, Director of Clinical Services. 

We process the test on site, so results are available within approximately 24 hours. You will receive a phone call from our staff once the results are available. Learn more about costs for these testing services on our website. 

Respiratory testing

With a single nasal swab, our team can test for Influenza A and B, COVID-19 and RSV. This PCR testing has a higher level of sensitivity and is more accurate than a rapid home test. 

Strep testing

Rapid strep testing using a throat swab is now available. Treatment will be available for those who test positive.

• Adults and children ages 5+.
• We have flexible scheduling available for testing during our business hours Monday- Thursday.
