Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic on August 10

Mesa County Public Health (MCPH) wants to make back-to-school as easy as possible for families. We are hosting a Back-to-School Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, August 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in our Public Health Clinic at 510 29 ½ Road in Grand Junction. Appointments are required. “Prevention is so important heading into the school year. We can help make sure your children are caught up on routine vaccinations that protect individual kids from serious illness, and the entire school community,” said Allison Sanchez, Clinical Services Director at Mesa County Public Health.

Parents should bring their child’s immunization record with them, as well as their insurance card. If needed, nurses can check records to see which vaccines are needed. The clinic accepts all major health insurance plans, however, there are programs available for those without insurance. We don’t want cost to be a barrier for kids to get what they need for school.

If parents have any concerns about vaccinations, nurses will be on hand to answer questions.
