Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) is honored to invite all who support youth in our community to attend our 2nd annual conference. Our vision is to connect with the community to build a culture of belonging that purposefully serves children, youth and families.

This year's summit is titled “Connections.” Motivational speaker Ginger Johnson will provide an energized and transformative message about the importance of human connection. This message intersects with community work on behalf of children, youth, families and each other.

Afterward, attendees can engage in nearly 30 breakout sessions presented by foster parents, caseworkers, service providers and other community partners. All sessions will emphasize creating a community that provides inclusion and belonging for all.

Where: Colorado Mesa University Center Ballroom (1100 North Ave.)
When: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 30th & Oct. 1st

“The goal of this summit is to bring together social caseworkers, service providers, foster and kinship families, and others involved with children and youth in foster care to increase communication and work together to support children and families in our community,” says MCDHS Child Welfare Division Director Joe Kellerby.

Note: The event is intended for social caseworkers, service providers, school employees, foster and kinship families and others in our community who work with children, youth and families. Registration details can be found here.
