Original Release of Information (12:32 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, 2023)

All Grand Valley Transit (GVT) Fixed-Route Services are suspended until further notice due to challenges with fueling the GVT bus fleet, as fuel compressors are experiencing issues potentially caused by lightning from the recent storms.

Paratransit services will continue, but riders may experience altered schedules.

Our team is diligently working to fix the fuel compressors needed to bring GVT services back to citizens as soon as possible.

Compressed natural gas (CNG) powers GVT buses; some of the CNG compressors are functioning; however, they cannot fuel buses at a rate fast enough to return GVT to full service.

At this time, there is no estimated time of when GVT services will return.

Grand Valley Transit apologizes for the inconvenience this causes our riders and appreciates your patience as we work hard to solve the situation as quickly as possible.

Alerts and notices for all updates on the status of GVT services are available at gvt.mesacounty.us/alerts
